Mr. Ashesh Shah is an investment banker and fund manager with over 25 years of career spanning India and USA. He has rich and varied experience in venture capital, stressed and distressed investments, turnaround management and strategic advisory across multiple industries, including technology, manufacturing, food and beverages, retail, telecom and agro-industries.
Mr. Shah co-founded Trans-Continental Capital Advisors (TCCA) in 2006 to focus on investments in stressed and distressed companies in India. He is also co-founder of Trans-Continental Venture Fund (TCVF) in 2015 which invests in growth stage companies in India. Prior to founding TCCA, Mr. Shah was a director at Crossroads LLC, New York, a specialty investment bank focusing on restructuring and special situations, as well as with KPMG’s distressed advisory group and Deloitte’s corporate restructuring group.
Mr. Shah has been an active speaker at various forums including theventure capital conferences in Bangalore; Capital Roundtable conference in New York, the Harvard Business School Turnaround Symposium, Funds World Private Equity Conference in Mumbai, Ahmadabad Management Association (AMA) Private Equity lectures and other events on topics such as investing in India, private equity, raising and financial restructurings.
Mr. Shah holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, a Master of Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Gujarat University, India. Mr. Shah currently serves on the Board of Directors/Advisory Board in several companies.
